One Direction’s xfactor journey
In 2010, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan applied as solo candidates for the seventh series of The X Factor, but failed to qualify for the "Boys" category. After suggestion by guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, they were put together to form the five-piece boy band One Direction and qualifying for the "Groups" category. Since then they’ve played to sold out arenas as they toured the country with The Official X Factor tour, signed a record deal with Syco, recorded their debut album and released two number 1 bestselling books.
